Myself and my wife really enjoyed the carvery lunch at the graduate,we found the carvery lunch to be good value for money although we did opt for a hot meat sandwich and a salad plate so I cannot comment on the actual full lunch only to say from what I saw it looked well and portions were also good. My wife enjoyed the freedom of choosing her salad and the patience shown to here by the girl behind the counter as the queue was quite long at the time. My sandwich was lovely fresh brown bread and warm turkey and stuffing,I made a point of remarking this to the girl who mad it afterwards as it really was quite delicious.
Anyway this is just background to my main review as following this positive experience we invited our friends to dinner at the graduate and we were left a little red faced as we had raved about our previous experience, our starters seems thrown together and a side order of chips did have the look and taste of being fried more than once, our main meals of steak was cooked well but just these little things along with a delay with desserts left us with mixed feelings about the place. Taking into account the place is newly opened I do hope they fix these little problems and give some continuity to the quality and service of there entire menus. So overall i would recommend the earlier menu and hope the evening menus quality improves with time and experience.
