Service is professional. We liked the atmosphere. Overall a very good experience.
This place is a real find. Nice decor, friendly staff, busy atmosphere and a really great value early bird menu. I am already looking forward to going back.
Just in from a great evening. Food great value on the early bird and a la carte looked great too. Great service and atmosphere what more can you ask for.....

I was really nicely surprised by this restaurant, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was really cosy with lots of Christmas lights and music! We had no issues with the service or the staff. I'll definitely be back.
I had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. The menu is nice and simple but offers a good selection, and the wine list ain't bad either!! I had the goats cheese salad and the rib eye steak (without the escargot!) both were excellent. As were the espresso and chocolate fondant I had for dessert. The interior is cosy and there was a real Christmasy feel to the place.

I went to the Green Hen with a group of girls for a birthday dinner last week and had an enjoyable meal, so I was surprised at the negative reviews below. I had the ravioli to start with and the hake for main course - both were really tasty. We shared a selection of three deserts between the group, all of which were really nice.
I found the service to be good - but looking at the reviews below maybe it is hit or miss depending on who is serving your table. I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant which reminded me of the wine bar in the basement of Fallon & Byrne and Le Gouleton down the road.
The only negative point I could find was that the air conditioning fan was up too high and a few of the girls nearest the fan were cold because of it.

I would not recommend this place due to their horrible policies of turning people away at the door if the clientele do not appear to be 'posh enough or if they have children.
I was having a glass of wine at the bar when a family with a small baby came in. The bartender claimed to be the owner and said they don't allow families in the restaurant during the evening. They forced them to leave. I was shocked, but tried not to look so I wouldn't be noticed.
They were very rude and I won't be returning as I'd be afraid to be on the receiving end of their rudeness on a bad day.
Had a bit of a shocking experience here. Arranged to meet up with 7 friends, some were slightly delayed and we ordered our starters and a couple of bottles of wine until our last person arrived.
The staff were very unhappy with us and insisted that it would suit them much better if we ordered everything at once. The restaurant was still fairly empty when much to my amazement a waiter came over to us at 8.45 and told us we had to be out of the restaurant by 9.15 as he wanted the table back. This left us no time to order dinner or deserts. He didn't inform us of this at the time of booking. We had just spent about €100 and would obviously have spent much more by the time we were finished.
I can honestly say I've never been treated like this ever at a restaurant anywhere and when I relate this story to other people they are shocked at such appalling behaviour.
He was quite rude and it was embarrassing for me in front of my guests.
The starters we had were fairly mundane and no great choice offered for vegetarians. The staff were cold and the restaurant lacked atmosphere.
I will never set foot in there again.
Great new addition to the Dublin dining scene -
Outstanding food & service - will definately be back
Great service, fine cocktails, check out the calamari salad, or the baked hake! Have been in three times already..
