I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and the food was lovely. I had a Dahl which was delicious, and a poppy seed cake for desert. A lovely combination. The place was very busy but we still managed to find a table straight away.

Overall happy

The Happy Pear offers good wholesome food at reasonable prices - the food is avoca-esque but without the price tag. There's a definite hippy/save the planet tone to the place - fairtrade coffee, don't sell bottled water, etc. - which is cool but the selection of drinks they do offer isn't great. For example, make sure you don't give your kids the curiosity cola as it has alcohol in it!
