This place is one of the busier bars in the city, and for good reason- their comedy nights do tend to be top notch! It's definitely not the kind of place you'd want to go if you're looking for a quiet pint, but given what passes for entertainment in some pubs this one definitely gets a thumbs up.
I'm not sure what the definition of a 'dive bar' is, but if it was just a descriptive term, this would be it. Grubby, probably in need of some repair but a great pub to have a pint in without the pretences of a lot of the other bars in the area....runners, caps, I even saw a dog in there once....
used to go to the downstairs part of this bar a long time ago, it's dirty and run down......I like it
