I do like this pub. The bottom floor is pretty much your basic ol' Fella's pub, but upstairs there's a lounge area which doesn't normally get too hectic so it can be a nice for a quiet drink in some relatively comfy seats if you're not there too late. And you don't have to put up with crap, loud music as well, so you can actually have a conversation! Unfortunately it feels like a novelty compared to a lot of pubs these days. Oh, and it's right beside Burdocks, so it's perfect for fish and chips when your night comes to a close!

Keywords: nice, quiet, reasonable pub

Three levels - ground floor is a bar for the locals, 1st floor is a cool drinking venue for twenty/thirty somethings, 2nd floor is an old fashioned top class restaurant - go there for a retropective dining experience - nothing has changed since the 80's - not the food, the waiters or the decor. A truly different experience - well that's if you are under thirty five!!! Enjoy the prawn cocktail.
