I agree with Daniel J, There is a dismissive passive aggressive hostility from the staff of the National Archive Bishop Street. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful! They treat the public like punters!
I thought it was just me! But I experienced the bad manners on a number of occasions.
Can you imagine what the overseas visitors think of us based on their first impressions of the National Archive?
Not a place I recommend visiting! Change the staff and the National Archive could become a powerful institution of learning.
I think the Minister needs to over hall the whole institution.

I've never been anywhere more inefficient with more unhelpful and downright rude staff. On a scale of one to ten in terms of organisation with one being a chimps' tea party and ten being the invasion of Normandy, they'd be a zero. If you get one of the three items that you can order within three hours, it's a miracle. If anyone ever has to go in there, I have two pieces of advise: (1) don't and (2) if you really, really have to, bring something to read while you're waiting for them to end their three hour cigarette break. Like "War & Peace".

I gave this a rating of one star since it isn't an option to give a rating of zero.

Keywords: horrendous service
