One of my favourite museums in the city! It feels like a spot that's frozen in time, with that slightly Victorian style it has. I absolutely love the upstairs level, where they've just packed as many animals as physically possible into a relatively small space. A great place to spend a wet afternoon.

I accidentally wandered in here once when I thought I was wandering into the Archaeology Museum, but ended up staying! Normally I would not enjoy looking at hundreds of dead animals, but this place is strangely captivating, with some creatures (like the giant elk) I didn't even know existed. Worth a visit, especially because it's free!

I must advise you not to go on a weekend or any other day when school is not in session, because there were shrieking children EVERYWHERE. Some of them were entertaining, especially when looking at the monkey skeletons, but most of them were rather annoying.
