Who ever came up with the idea to put a non branded cafe in a bookstore like Waterstones was a genius. I was passing by Dawson st last week and decided to go in and get a travel book. I noticed there was this great aroma coming from up stairs. I looked up and saw a sign that said "cafe this way" so I went up. I saw the chef taking out scones from the oven right there and then. so i took a seat and ordered a late and a scone. Let me tell you it was the best scone i had since my grani made them years ago. The short of it is the latte was A1 the scone was to die for. I took a look at the menu and it looked really good, Irish with a bit of med to it. I'll be back and try the lunch soon, oh and the staff were so friendly and didn't bother me with all the questions, "tall, want a muffin can you pay first” nothing. when i was finished and ready to go I just went to the till and paid. What a change from the norm. Waterstones has done a good job of this cafe. I will be back, and to get my travel book too.

The atmosphere of the bookstore makes this a very pleasant cafe away from the hustle and bustle. I haven't tried the food but the coffee was good. Eircom wifi is available apparently.

Keywords: quiet, cafe
