Location is great, even if you don't have a car there is a close bus stop.
The pub is on the average a characteristic pub, though the space inside is limited. If the weather is fine you can have a drink seating outside.

Price of food is on the average more expensive than other pubs in the area, though you get more stuff. I usually order hamburger with bacon strip. Funny you have to pay 1 Euro more to get a strip of rasher into the hamburger. The salad that comes with it is poor in quantity. They could have given some more. The burger seems to be hand made from mince meat which is great.

The best time to get a suffice service is when there are few people, otherwise you have to run after a waiter/waitress or wait long time.

Little bit disappointed last time I was there. Was a Sunday afternoon around 2 pm , we ordered an Irish mussels and the waitress told us there weren't any, to found out after I finished my hamburger that in front of me a customer was getting a pot of Irish mussels. I asked a waiter if there was any reason I couldn't get them. He explained they got them later on that afternoon. Not sure what was the real reason, but I felt a little bit treated like a second class customer.

Stopped for a drink at this picturesque pub on a cycle around the hill of howth last night. Great atmosphere during the football match, with the pub full of people. Will Definitely be going back here for a meal sometime. The food looked mouth watering.
