Liked the atmosphere of this cafe. We were there for a late lunch one Thursday and the food was very good.
Coffee should have been good, I know the brand and if made right, it can be fantastic - see the Bald Barista in Aungier Street (it's his brand!) but this was too watery and just poor.
There is an air of lightness from the moment you walk into this cosy little cafe. There's an open section at the front, overlooked by a balcony section, with a recessed kitchen, from which a beautiful chargrilled smell wafts, luring you in. They do an all day breakfast which is nice but could be more substantial while there are plenty of other breakfasty things, like crepes. The choice of the lunch section is the open chargrilled chicken sandwich, and to be honest, I can't seem to pass up the opportunity to have one so haven't sampled any of the other wide and varied offerings yet! There is a wide selection of deserts that will leave you with a smile on your face and it's all served up by very friendly and helpful staff. The only gripe you might find is that many of the tables are too small to fit the amount of food you're going to want to order.
All in all - this would be my choice for something "lunchy" in Dun Laoghaire.
