My wife and I bought a brithday cake for our daughter and she was absolutely thrilled with the cake and her party guests devoured it! Went back the next day to thank the staff and got some nice pasteries while I was there lovely stuff!

The place looks nice from the outside - even if they did paint over the redbricks and ruin a terrace. I went there twice. First time the server knocked a half dozen rolls on the floor and made a big show of putting them away somewhere (unseen) out the back. I bought a Vienna roll which looked a bit odd but tasted fine and was devoured, with gusto, at home by everyone.
Today I bought another Vienna which I selected myself using a plastic bag as a glove. I noticed a milk pan in the glass cabinet and asked for it and the server did NOT use a glove. And then she used the same hands for taking cash. This is not good enough in 2010. There's another bakery in the village and also nice artisan breads available at Nolan's and Cuisine de France at Centra. I won't be rushing back to the Village Bakery when I have plenty more to choose from.
Also their price list is unprofessional looking and full of spelling mistakes.
