Raters say we are...  popular, busy, modern

Tonic is usually fairly buzzing when i'm there at the weekend, and one of the reasons I go is the great food. A nice, varied menu which isn't too expensive. A good way to start a night's drinking in there. My only critisism is that it can be extremely slow to get drinks (even when it's not busy), and the tables are often left dirty between customers. I stopped eating there for a while because of that, it has gotten a bit better but needs more attention. A good venue is being let down by sloppy staff.

I've only been here on Friday nights and it's usually pretty busy from about 6:30 onwards. They have all the usual lagers and ales although that's where the affiliation with tradition ends. It's a modern place with some good leather couches and armchairs to be had if you can lay claim to them early enough. They also seem to get a lot of promos here for new and old drinks which means you might end up having a longer after-work-drink than you'd expected. There's a generous smoking area at the back with some shelter and heat lamps for the winter cool. They do food here too (burgers, pizzas, etc) which always seem to be reasonably good.
