A group of us went here for dinner last Saturday evening, a casual last minute affair. We weren't expecting world beating cuisine, but we had thought that Toscana would be on the better side of average. Unfortunately that was not the case. My tiger prawn starter (deep fried) was served still frozen - obviously not fresh. When sent back, the replacements came out too quickly! I still haven't worked this one out.
The mains were OK, the pasta was touching the raw side of 'al dente'. Two of us had the beef & pasta, another the seafood & pasta, amazingly the sauce was the same, can this have come from the same premade pot?
Coffee & desserts: the decaf was too watery and the cheese cake was too dry (you know that saw dust texture!). The banoffi pie could not be seen for the chef's love of cream in a can!
Would I go back? No, and I would not recommend it. And it wasn't as cheap as this should have been for this standard.
