Reviews for Tower Records
Write a Review Tower Records reviews feedThis is definitely one of the best places to go in the city centre if you're looking for music. It's got a really great balance between having the latest stuff and also a really good selection of artists' back catalogues. You won't have much luck if you're looking for something rare (although they will happily order stuff in for you, if they can), but if it's a little off the beaten track, chances are you'll be able to dig it up here! Really nice selection of DVDs and jazz upstairs too, and they round it all off with a stage in the corner (well, a bit of the floor that's raised two inches...) where they'll occasionally have smaller bands playing to promote their new stuff. Great vibe in the place!
While Tower Records is a large global chain for some reason it still feels more like an old skool record store than the likes of HMV. When looking to buy a DVD you'll usually find me in Laser or Tower before trying the others. They also have a cool little café now so bonus points for that too!
