Tripod incorporates a 1,300 live music venue with balcony seating, private booths, a club space and bar. It opened in December 2006 and has gained a reputation as 'Dublin's best medium-sized venue' (Sunday Tribune) with particular accolades for it's sound quality and perfect sightlines.

This is my favourite gig venue in the city. It's big without having a warehouse feel and has a second bar and back section away from the main stage area for taking a breather. I find there's more of a big night out feel in this venue than in Crawdaddy downstairs. I'd even give it a 5th star if it had a bit more seating.
