Great service, beautiful setting and only an hour's drive from Dublin - the perfect place for a weekend getaway!

I've played a good few rounds of golf here and had many a meal in the restaurant. It's a great place with unbeatable views of Blessington lake and is a Mecca for golfers, hill walkers and fishermen/women.
Best tip would be to bring a good set of waterproof boots for the strolls along the lakeshore but for the less outdoorsey there are plenty of relaxing distractions in the bar and main house.
Pros: Close to Dublin, golf, value
Cons: not many but bring wet gear (just in case)

I went to a wedding in Tullfarris last year and really enjoyed my stay there. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and really spacious. The staff were friendly and the food was very nice at the wedding (not sure what it is like in the normal restaurant). The wedding drink reception was in the "old house" part of the hotel which had lovely lounge rooms. The setting of the hotel is stunning overlooking the lake and it's also a very handy location as it's less than 1 hour from Dublin.

As you can imagine for a course based on a peninsula, water features come into play in many of the holes. There are some excellent Par 3's and it would be hard to find three finishing holes with such variety. The Clubhouse is adequate although a bit of a building site at the moment. The staff are welcoming and there is value here especially midweek considering its only 25 minutes from Tallaght.
