Terrible Customer Service. I was there yesterday for a hair cut. The guy who cut my hair asked me what I wanted, and I said that I wanted a straight cut just under the shoulders. (My hair was very long). He asked me if I wanted some layers, and I said no. At the end, he showed me on the mirror, and I could not believe. I was not a straight line, which I tought anyone could do. The back was longer then the sides. When I said that to him, he informed me that he did "a litlle bit of layers". I was not happy at all. Just put my hair up, and went home, really upset, after having long hair for my whole life. Maybe was just me, that was not seing properly from the mirror. When I got home, I washed my hair again, and let it dry naturallly. When I went to work today, everyone could see that my hair was not done properly. I was told to go back there and ask them to fix it. So, I did it. Went back there, and first of all, it is very hard to communicate, once they only talk in chinese. One girl was translating to the guy. (The long hair guy who cut my hair). They were all saying that it was fine, and even when I said that i was not happpy, I wanted to fix, they didnt know what to do, and the guy kept asking me : "Are you sure? Are you really sure? I can cut it, really short!! Are you sure??? Are you sure??"
Noooooo, of course Im not sure... specially after that, how can I be sure, how can I trust someone, who doesnt even understand what I am saying, hasnt got a clue about what he is doing. I was terrified!!!! I said no, just leave it, so now i will have to pay again for someone else fix this mess, and he finally said, "ok, bye"
WHAT A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! How do you let a customer leave your shop unhappy, and then, coming back next day, and leave again, even more pissed off, when there was nobody else in the saloon. They were 3 or 4 staff chatting away, no customers... I should know better!!!
Anyway, dont spend your money there. They dont deserve. I am after paying 47 euros for a proper hair cut plus 31 euros that I gave him yesterday = total of 78 euros, the mos expensive hair cut I ever had.

I have got my hair cut and blow dried at Violets quite a few times and really loved the results each time. It is a cosy, clean basement salon with very nice staff. I am very relaxed there all the time and you are never rushed.

I treat myself to this every 7 weeks, and get breakfast then next door in AT Cahoots, coffee shop/restaurant which I also would recommend for nice coffee, sandwiches, wraps, scones etc. It is my lovey Saturday morning treat every seven weeks. They charge under between €20 and 25 for shampoo, cut and blow-dry, which is very, very reasonable, even in this market. I always leave them €5 as I strongly believe in tipping in hair salons for good service. Depends on short, medium, long hair, like most salons. I sometimes get just a blow dry there for a special occasion for about €15.

Try Violets for yourself and give them a call if you want to check price for bigger jobs like colouring, extensions (I think they do those), conditioning treatments, up-styles etc. Great for students too. They might have discount for students. Make sure you ask them!

Kind regards,
