just have to compliment this cinema, especially after going last night to see Avatar. The price difference between here and Dundrum is massive. The VIP tickets are only about €1 more expensive than the regular tickets and the seats were brilliant. I cant believe that Dundrum are, not only much more expensive(€5 more expensive for VIP ticket), but are charging extra for the 3D glasses which are necessary to watch the film! The Vue cinema is really convenient, they have lots of screens so I have never had a problem with the place being booked out. There is loads of free parking outside and it really does not take that long to get there at night. Another bonus is that the burgers in Gourmet Kitchen Burger beside the cinema only cost €5 if you have cinema tickets. good value night out.
I like this cinema - it's got the biggest screen in dublin (only the "big fella" screen) and the parking is free which is a nice bonus
I saw Avatar here the other night and really enjoyed it. Dundrum is my usual haunt but Vue is much better value - unlike Dundrum, you don't have to pay extra for a 3D movie here, the 3D glasses are free, the parking is free and the VIP seating only costs €1.50 more. The cinema probably could have been a bit cleaner but once the lights go off who cares!
Bit of a trek from where I live but it was the general consensus. It's not bad. Parking is easy and you don't have to pay (like you would in Dundrum). Only gripe is that we were a bit late and had to sit near the front - the seats are too close to the screen so we spent the 2 hours or whatever with our necks straining upwards - seats near the front in other cinemas don't seem as extreme - get there early!
