Hi All
My Bad Experience is like this,
I purchased a ring for my wife from Weir & Sons Grafton Street in March 2013; the ring has stones set into it. In November 2013 only eight months after the purchase my wife noticed one stone had split and fallen out of the ring.
I took the ring and the two halves of stone back to weirs on
Grafton Street only to be told that it looked like the ring has been & I quote "Well Worn". I explained the ring has been worn on a ladies finger that for the last Eight months has been on maternity leave.
They said they would send it away to the manufacture for a second opinion, two weeks later I got a call advising me it would cost €80 (special price) to repair as the ring was "Well Worn"
I will get the repair done but I am left aghast about how a jeweller can think that it is perfectly normal for a stone to split & fall out of a ring and then turn around to the customer and charge €80 to repair.
Feeling very disgruntled!!
Would I shop here again? NO, NEVER

They're one of the bigger, classier jewelers in Dublin. With a brilliant location they're pretty much an institution on Grafton street and I'd say most of us have stood outside and stared at all the beautiful shiny things in the window more than once.

If you ever venture inside (which took me a while, I was a little intimidated) they of course have a really nice selection of stuff on display and although the prices are pretty high there's actually more affordable stuff on offer than you'd expect. Definitely worth sticking your head in and poking around for a few minutes.
