I still find this place a little weird, it feels like it should be tucked away in a theme park somewhere, but maybe O'Connell street is the closest they could get?

It's pretty cheap in, the last time I checked tickets were only €4, so it's worth trying it out once. It tends to be pretty empty, so you nearly always have the place to yourself, which is nice (it also means it'll probably close down in a few months, so you'd better get in while you can!)

Still not entirely sure what the point of this place is. I went in once with a friend and we went on a roller-coaster ride through a mine (3D glasses, big screen and those seats that jostle around in time with the video). It was a fun experience if you wanted something to do late at night in Dublin and didn't mind forking out a few bob for the experience, but it was nothing to write home about. It's probably great fun if you've got small kids though (or are just a little tipsy...)
