Yum Thai has really gone down hill since opening earlier this year. For starters, they have jacked the price up by 50 cents to start with. Their boxes are filled to the brim with rice/noodles and dosed in sauce with very little meat provided.

Of greater concern are the exceptionally rude staff - in particular the new Northern European guy who has started working there. I once arrived 10 minutes before the '12pm opening time' - walking in with the door wide opening - and after being ignored by one of the workers as I simply stood there - this new recruit asked me 'if I could read the sign at the front' and then, as if to do my a favor, begrudgingly asked me what I wanted.

Whatever happened to the customer always being right? Avoid at all costs, much better fair with rather more pleasant staff to be found elsewhere.

Keywords: yum, yum thai, awful, rude

Yum Thai is my go-to place for a grab-n-go lunch. Sure, it's not fine dining by any means, but it's quick and quaint and a quite a good deal. For only €5 you get a heaping helping of noodles that will be sure to tide (I am so tempted to write "Thai-d"...) you over! Definitely worth it.
