friendly staff and love the home made pitta but could be a tad cheaper at over €10 a kebab

I made my way to Zaytoon after a couple of pints in 'Anseo' on Thursday night. I had heard great things about Zaytoon.... some said their kebabs could cure hangovers... others said it gave them special taxi hailing powers...

Perhaps, I should have ate it there and then rather than nursing it in my arms all the way home in the taxi... I got a chicken shish kebab, chips and coke - it was a bit soggy (probably from the taxi ride home) but tasted okay. The chips weren't great and the coke was as you would expect.

It probably did me the world of good (short term) but I've definitely had better, namely the chicken shawarma kebabs served in The Golden Olive Restaurant in the Mosque in Clonskeagh.

On a more positive note the interior is a lot better than any other place you'll find open at that time of night and the staff are very helpful and friendly. So all in all, not a bad spot and well worth a visit if you're out on Camden Street... for me, there had just been too much build-up - it was like going to see a film everyone had been raving about and then thinking it was only okay.
